Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Your Second Season Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video this week, and fan speculation has been rampant.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of characters living within Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator commented earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast the new season moves, and how many of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing disclosures, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans make a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
